Of my holiday in Gran Canaria, and aside from the heat, I’ve not been too bad. However, last night I had a minor bout of anxiety for some reason and I’m not 100% sure what brought it on. I know I was anxious about this holiday because of how I normally react to heat (ie. Not tanning, just burning, and generally feeling drained), as well as having never travelled by plane for that long nor whilst being on medication. I think I was a bit homesick, really, but it’s hard to tell. I’ll continue to monitor this just in case it gets worse. Thankfully, my wonderful fiancée has been very understanding.
In other news, I tried the mildest mango chicken curry last night and I didn’t have any reaction aside from a minor cramp in the middle of the night. So happy I can at least have some form of Indian food. ^-^

“I know you feel anxious but you forgot the part where you’re a badass.”
Thank you nerdy-knitting-german for posting; it made me smile.
So, going anywhere nice?
So , I’m going abroad tomorrow and I admit I’m a little anxious. Not just because I’ve never been that far from home nor anywhere that close to the equator, but also because of my colitis. Imagine my relief when the Crohn’s and Colitis UK Facebook page shared this link the other day. I feel much better.

New meds…
Third day on steroids today (Wednesday) and, I’ll admit I was a little anxious about taking them, but the only “effect” (if you can call it that) that I have experienced so far is a little extra energy. This is good as I’m back at work this week and I’ve needed it.
I am only on them for a total of fifteen days so we’ll see how I feel after I stop taking them.
Pizza!
Now, normally, I would avoid pizza, Even though I love it. However, I have recently discovered that if I have a medium (instead of large) pizza on a thin and crispy base with a topping of just pineapple, I can eat pizza without having any major reactions! Yay!
I do still have to pace myself, though; having an entire medium pizza is still a little much for me.
