Have you guys seen this!! I never thought I would see a TV show that is centered around a disabled character who is actually played by a disabled actor!!

This is huge!!

Just seen the trailer for this online and I really want to watch it! I can’t wait for it to be available in the UK.

‘Speechless’ Is Breaking New Ground on Television

Second day back

whatcanieat:

The cold is now in full swing so it looks like the immunosuppressants I’m on are doing what they’re meant to. It’s good because, along with the steroids, they’re keeping my symptoms at bay, but bad because they open me up to every other infection out there. I just hope I can get rid of this one soon so I can feel better about being back at work.

Speaking of which, today was ok but a lot more tiring than yesterday. We had a lot more customers in today despite the weather being quite miserable. It didn’t help there were only two of us in the whole day. Tomorrow should be better as there will be three of us in.

I’m going to try for an early night again tonight as last night I didn’t get to sleep until two in the morning because my cough kept me awake. I’ve found honey and lemon juice mixed with hot water helps soothe it a little so I’ll try that again before bed along with the cough syrup I’ve been taking today too.

First day back at work

whatcanieat:

I’m on my way into work after more than two weeks off sick. I didn’t sleep all that well last night, so I might be a bit tired come the afternoon, but I’ll do what I can. I’ve got a fortisip with me to have once I get there so I’ll have a little nutritional boost to help me get through the morning, and I’ve got a homemade, gluten-free lunch with me to take my afternoon meds with as well as a bottle of water to keep me going. I’m all set, let’s try and have a good day.

Good day

whatcanieat:

I had a nice day today; did some cooking, ate some chocolate, met up with a friend who I haven’t seen in ages, and had an all round good food day. Looking forward to going back to work (sort of) so I can get back into a normal routine. I’ll be shattered by the end of it but I’m determined to have a good first day back.

Final day

whatcanieat:

So, tomorrow I go back to work. I’m half looking forward to it but also not incase something goes wrong and I start to feel ill again. I’m sure I’ll be ok, I just need to try and not get stressed and only do what I can.
Today, I will be making gluten-free brownies, and I might even venture to my local craft shop to see if I can get some more beads. It’s up a hill so I think it’ll be a good indication of whether I’m back to normal or not. We’ll see. I just need to get out of bed.

whatcanieat:

Totally not IBD related but…

The brownies have been put on hold until tomorrow in favour of attempting Oreo truffles a second time. I decided to chill them like this instead and then in a few hours I’ll cover them in chocolate. They’re not gluten-free unfortunately, but the fiancee likes them so that’s good enough for me.
